Styled Shoot Guidelines for Venues and Vendors

At Married On Island, we are excited to offer styled shoot organization and hosting services to participating venues and vendors. Our goal is to create unique, high-quality shoots that inspire couples and showcase the incredible talent and creativity of our local wedding vendors. Please review the following guidelines to understand how our styled shoots work, how to participate, and the expectations involved.

1. Participation in Styled Shoots

  • Selection Process: Participation in styled shoots will be based on the theme, vision, and style of each shoot. While we welcome a variety of vendors, please note that Married On Island, Coastal Collective LLC, and our partners will ultimately determine which vendors and venues are selected for each shoot. Not every vendor will be chosen for every shoot.

  • Variety of Themes: Each styled shoot will have a distinct theme, vision, and concept, which may include but is not limited to: color schemes, seasonal themes, venue types, and aesthetics (rustic, modern, coastal, vintage, etc.). This allows us to highlight different aspects of our island’s beauty and our vendors' diverse talents.

  • Vendor/Venue Expectations: Vendors and venues are expected to be flexible and open to collaborating with other creatives. The direction of each styled shoot will be guided by Married On Island and its partners, ensuring that the shoot aligns with the overall brand and desired outcomes for promotion.

2. Styled Shoot Requirements

  • Creative Direction: The overall concept, theme, and style of each styled shoot will be developed by Married On Island, Coastal Collective LLC, and its partners. We ask that all participating vendors embrace and follow the established direction to ensure cohesiveness and high-quality results.

  • Vendor Contributions: Each vendor will be responsible for providing their specific services/products in alignment with the theme and vision. This may include floral arrangements, decor, makeup, hair styling, photography, videography, attire, and more. Specific product or service expectations will be communicated ahead of time.

  • Availability: Vendors must confirm their availability for the date of the styled shoot. If you are unavailable for the selected date, please inform us as early as possible.

  • Timeliness: On the day of the styled shoot, all vendors must arrive on time and prepared for setup as per the shoot schedule. Delays can affect the overall quality and timeline of the shoot.

3. Content Usage & Promotion

  • Photo Credit: Vendors participating in styled shoots will receive proper credit for their contributions across all media platforms (social media, blog features, etc.). Married On Island will ensure that all vendors are acknowledged through photography credit, tags, and mentions.

  • Content Rights: By participating in the styled shoot, vendors and venues agree to allow the content (photos, videos, etc.) to be used for promotional purposes on Married On Island’s website, social media accounts, and partner platforms. The images may also be shared with media outlets for potential features and press opportunities.

4. Expectations for Vendors

  • Collaboration: We encourage vendors to collaborate with one another and work as a team to create a seamless, beautiful outcome for each shoot. A positive, professional attitude is essential.

  • Professionalism: Vendors are expected to maintain a professional demeanor and uphold a high standard of service. This includes adhering to the agreed-upon details and delivering their services as promised.

  • Responsibility for Setup: Each vendor is responsible for setting up their specific items/services as required for the shoot. This includes bringing all necessary tools, supplies, and materials.

  • Adherence to Guidelines: Vendors must follow all provided guidelines and instructions to ensure the shoot’s vision is executed perfectly.

5. Participation Fee (if applicable)

  • Depending on the styled shoot, there may be a small fee for participating vendors to cover the costs of coordination and promotion. This fee will be communicated in advance and is non-refundable.
